Intergen will install a natural gas cogeneration plant at the Cotignola (RA) plant of a leading Italian company in the production of household cleaning and personal care products

Lomagna (Lecco), April 2017 – Intergen, the Italian company that has worked in the energy sector for more than 70 years, specialised in the design and installation of cogeneration plants, has obtained a new order for Madel Spa, at the Cotignola plant in the province of Ravenna.

Madel is an Italian group founded in 1977, it is the owner of major brands for household cleaning and for personal care including Winni’s, Deox and Pulirapid. Intergen will design, install and maintain a cogeneration plant equipped with a natural gas fuelled MWM (Motoren Werke Mannheim) internal combustion engine, model TCG2016V12, which will deliver 600 KWe (250 NOx) of electricity.

The plant will produce electricity, hot water and steam, which will be made available to the Cotignola (RA) production site. The efficiency achieved through implementation of the cogeneration plant is part of Madel’s “Green Philosophy” which involves a maximum commitment to protecting the environment.
