Next on-site interventions scheduled for 2015

Last 19 October, on the request of our customer Satin Alpha (general contractor of the Malaysian oil company Petronas), we intervened on the oil platform Bokor, located off the Malaysian coast in front of the city of Miri (island of Borneo) to perform an inspection on two generating sets we sold in 2011.

The purpose of the intervention was to check the overall operating conditions of the two plants (a gas MWM TCG2020V16 generator and a diesel driven one MWM TCD2020V16) to give the customer suggestions on upcoming maintenance activities to undertake based on what was observed and measured on-site.

Once on board, our technician realised that following continuous use in the previous two years, the diesel engine had reached the threshold of 15,000 hours while the gas engine, due to a series of problems on the electrical system and supply of combustible gas to the customer, had run for approximately 3,000 hours.

Despite the fact that Satin Alpha had never performed maintenance as prescribed by MWM, Petronas demonstrated that they were very satisfied with the reliability of the same, consequently they asked if we were willing to perform the overhaul of the diesel engine and extraordinary maintenance of the gas engine.

These activities will be performed during our next on-site interventions including during 2015.
